When I was in fifth grade, I sent a teacher a heartfelt note before turning in my homework. That day, I finished writing and then began crafting the note myself. First, I found some white paper, folded it, and began drawing on the note. I drew a picture of a boy浇着花和花草,还有些蜡烛,然后 wrote some words on it. Then, I wrapped the whole thing in a little envelope and sent it to my teacher. One night, six o'clock, after school, the mother wasn't home. I decided to make some food myself because I felt it was my way of showing gratitude for her hard work. After washing the茄子, I cut it into pieces and placed them on the stove. I took a bite and noticed that the oil started rising immediately and kept rising higher. I grabbed a few slices of葱花 and used a fork to turn the茄子 over. But despite that, the plant seemed to be trying to go the other way—left instead of right, up instead of down. This was pretty unexpected, but it didn't stop me from eating. Only a short time after that, one little茄子 suddenly jumped off the table and reached a height higher than I could imagine. As I noticed that happening, I added some salt and carefully flipped the dish. The cooking was done, and now everything was sitting in my cup on the table. The mother came back later to see what had just happened. She praised me for being a good helper and told me it would be wonderful if other people saw my contributions too. On this day, I also got a little bonus because when I turned the page of my phone, it sent me an alert that someone on the website was doing some important work in their field. I wanted to make sure they knew how much I contributed. As I read through the article, I realized that even something as simple and small like this—like a folder being put into my inbox, or turning a corner to see someone else's work—can be a moment of deep appreciation. People often feel missed, but their hard work can still reach far, reaching as high as sunlight on someone's chest. In the end, I couldn't help but smile and laugh at the sight of the apartment where I was living. It was beautiful—a place with love, warmth, and so many little details that made it feel like a home that I belonged to.

This is an example of how hard work can reach farther than we think.
